Summary
Print, The War Baby after Mabel Lucy Attwell (Mile End 1879 - Fowey 1964). Reproduction colour print on white paper with naked baby girl, blue eyes and rosy cheeks standing to attention saluting to attention with cigarette in right hand and wearing military cap and belt with heart-shaped medal on chest. Above image to right is printed; Eyes right. Below image by Peet on left is printed; Pooksie / MABEL LUCIE ATTWELL / THE WAR BABY / (Undress Uniform). Glass in front of image in a simple black painted wood frame. On reverse side a brown paper backing. At bottom is a printed green paper label with red ink which reads; F. NAISH, / Printseller, Picture frame Manufacturer, Gilder, Artists' Colourman, / 37, Park Street, Bristol. Two metal hanging loops, one on each side of reverse of frame with cord tied between.
