Summary
Framed tapestry, 'Cardinal Wolsey Entrance into Leicester Abbey' after Richard Westall (1765-1836). Carved/gilded wood frame, glazed. Berlin woolwork, bright wools/silks on canvas. The original painting was commissioned by Boydell's Shakespeare Gallery and depicts a scene from Shakespeare's play King Henry VIII (Act 4 Scene 2).
