Summary
A carved pine over-door pediment depicting a coat of arms or crest with a thistle making up the centre of the piece. There is some evidence of painted surfaces in places and the remains of gesso suggest areas were once gilded. The piece is similar to the 20th century pediment on Prior Castell's clock at Durham Cathedral.
