Summary
Large oak screen with columns and foliate carved architrave below a carved cornice.
Provenance
This was once apparently - along with the Bishop's Mitre - part of the organ screen at Durham Cathedral. It is however more likely to be one of the screens dividing the South Transept from what is now the Durham Light Infantry Chapel, as shown on Robert Billings' drawing of the South Transept in his survey of 1843.
