Picture frame, water-gilded slip frame, for oil painting on canvas, Keeper Hazell and Spaniels by John Charlton (Bamburgh 1849 - London 1917). The frame is contemporary to painting (1904). Water-gilded. Composition moulded. Oak leaf moulding to outer edge. Beaded moulding on site edge. Gilded right to the back edge. Cross bandings on corners, painted with gold paint.
