Summary
Teacup. A bone china teacup with pink and green rose, thistle and shamrock design, c1900. The sides of the cup are concave with scalloped rim and gilt edges. Gilding also decorates scrolled handles and the base. Part of a tea service consisting of six saucers, six teacups, seven plates, a milk jug and sugar bowl. Manufactured by John Aynsley & Sons (Ltd.).
Provenance
Donated to Newport Museums and Galleries by Mr and Mrs Burton in 1983. On loan to the National Trust from Newport Museums and Galleries.
