Summary
Saddle cloth. A navy-blue saddle cloth with gold band down the centre and around the edges.On both sides are two areas of metal and embroidered designs. One is a skull, overlaying crossed flags, with a crown above and OR GLORY / 17 / L beneath. The other is a crown with scrolled and entwined initials beneath.
Provenance
Part of the collection on loan to the National Trust from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
