Summary
Ink stand. A silver ink stand with square base and concave sides rising to a square top, with hinged square lid. The lid has engine turned border and engraved dedication. Contains glass liner. The corners are flattened and each bottom edge has a pen grove. The filling is broken and base covering loose.
Provenance
Part of the collection on loan to the National Trust from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
