Summary
26 fireplace tiles. 25 White and blue fireplace tiles, in situ around the fireplace in the Red Room. White background decorated with blue birds, plants and landscapes. Each tile has a pattern of four bees, one in each corner of the tile. 1 maroon and white fireplace tile of similar decoration/style.
Provenance
Original to Tredegar House. On loan from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
