Summary
Plate. A bone china plate with moulded acanthus leaf pattern and circular depression in the centre. Transfer and hand painted floral design in yellow, orange and green with gilding to the edge of the rim. Part of an incomplete tea service by H.M. Williamsons & Sons, 'Trellis' pattern, c1900. The service comprises of teacups, saucers, tea plates, milk jug and slops bowl.
Provenance
Part of the collection on loan to the National Trust from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
