Summary
Cutlery box. Edwardian oak cutlery box, lined in blue felt. Containing a cutlery set made up of eight table knives, nine dessert knives, five teaspoons, nine dessert forks, eight dessert spoons, two sauce ladles, nine soup spoons, three table spoons, nine table forks, a carving knife, a sharpening steel and a carving fork. Given by Evan Morgan to Henry Smith and Ada Sayzeland as a wedding gift 8/8/1935.
Provenance
Part of the collection on loan to the National Trust from Newport Museum and Galleries. In March 2012 the National Trust took over the management of Tredegar House with its contents and its 90 acres of gardens and parkland, from Newport City Council for a period of 50 years.
