Summary
Treadle base for Singer sewing machine. Decorative wrought iron base with splayed ends, with pulley wheels, supporting centre piece curved and shaped with central rectangle and open work lettering reading; SINGER. On right side, treadle mechanism wheel attached by rod to footplate. Decorative wrought iron guard protects front of wheel. Wooden top screwed onto splayed supports, with hinged flap on left side. Wrought iron support under left side of top with hinged bracket to secure flap. Rectangular housing cut out with a metal tray for sewing machine. Two slots in table on right hand side of housing. One metal slot either side of housing for lid.
