Summary

A gold-mounted tortoiseshell snuff-box the cover set with a large central amethyst surrounded by two citrines and two rock crystals, early 19th Century, the interior engraved with inscription stating that the box had belonged to the 1st Duke of Marlborough and was given by the 6th Duke to the 5th Marquess of Londonderry.
