Summary
A Berlin cabinet plate with Cupid and two classical figures of Butades's daughter and her lover within a gilt-chased well and pale pink-ground border with gilt foliage and anthemion, circa 1810, blue sceptre mark. One of a set of thirty six Berlin cabinet plates, thirty one circular and five oval each with a different designs.
