Watercolour on paper laid on linen, Lady Theresa Susey Helen Talbot, later Marchioness of Londonderry (1855 -1919), aged 19, by Edward Clifford (Bristol 1844 – 1907), signed and dated, lower right: EDWARD CLIFFORD, 1875. A large three-quarter-length portrait of the daughter of Charles John Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot, 19th Earl of Shrewsbury and Anna Theresa Cockerell and wife of Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 6th Marquess of Londonderry whom she married on 2 October 1875, seated on a balustrade by the sea.
