Summary
A cotton man’s long sleeved collarless shirt, printed all over with purple and pink flowerheads and lined with black cotton. With two mismatched buttons down the front, the top one a simulated tortoiseshell plastic button, the lower one made of carved vegetal matter, possibly coconut shell or similar. Machine-stitched throughout.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
