Summary
Alabaster sculpture, Paolina Bonaparte, Principessa Paolina Borghese (1780-1825) as Venus Victrix, after Antonio Canova (Possagno 1757 - Venice 1822). A figure of Pauline Borghese reclining on a classical foliate daybed. (similar one in Bow Bathroom). Pauline is in the guise of Venus Victrix, the apple of Paris in her left hand. Original dated 1804-08 is in the Villa Borghese.
