A Quarter Plate Sanderson Junior Camera. The body is polished mahogany with brass fittings and struts. The bellows is black leather. Focus is achieves using a removable ground glass screen at the back of the camera and movement of the lens panel is by means of a rack and pinion mechanism. The shutter, with speeds to 1/90 sec, is housed in a unit labelled 'Time & Inst. Patent Thornton Pickard'. The lens panel has rise and tilt facilities. The screw mounted lens is in a brass barrel and has the marking 'Doppel Anastigmat DRP 74437 Peric III No 1 F150mm. C P Goertz Berlin No 17236'. It has an iris diaphram but the aperture range is unclear - apparently f4. The lens has a lined leather cap. On the front panel is an embonite label 'The Sanderson H.Ltd.' and below is a plate 'Junior Model'. The base has a large tripod mount and the top has a leather handle.
