Summary
A monochrome gelatine silver glass lantern slide entitled "Guildford". The image depicts Guildford Castle viewed from the grounds. In the foreground is a lawn, behind which are five benches, two of which are occupied by people. Two sheets of glass, 83 mm x 83 mm, one of which carries the image and the other is a cover glass, bound together with black paper tape. Behind the cover glass there is a black paper mask over the image with square corners. Above the image, affixed to the glass, is a white label upon which has been handwritten in black ink: "Guildford". There is a white paper circle in each top corner. At bottom right is a small white label upon which is handwritten "18". Verso, at top is affixed to the glass a white label upon which has been handwritten in pencil: "6 Boniface".
