Summary
Dacora II 120 film camera. The Dacora II was a horizontal folding camera taking 6x6cm exposures on type 120 film rolls. It was made in Germany by Dacora, c.1952. The whole is a metal construction with black leather effect covers. As in use the top of the camera has the film transit knob on the left, next is an accessory shoe and the release button for opening the camera. In the middle of the right side of the top is the shutter release button. The back of the camera shows the view finder in the center of the top portion. The whole of the rest opens, with a slide up catch, from left to right to expose the film compartment. In the center of the back is an octagonal red glass porthole with a metal slide cover to see the film frame number. The front of the camera is marked on the top portion “Dacora II”. When the camera is closed the front is also embossed “Dacora”, The folding bed is spring loaded and opens to expose the paper bellows and the lens. The first control is the lever to set aperture, this is marked from 3.5 – 22 The next control is the shutter speed from B – 200. Between these two controls is the flash contact and the cable release connection. Next is the lever to tension the “Pronto” shutter and finally the focus ring and depth of field scale. Focus is marked from 3.5 – 40 and infinity. The front of the lens is marked “Ennar 1:3.5 f=7.5cm c Nr. 759561 Enna Werk Munchen”.
