Monochrome gelatine silver glass lantern slide entitled "Wayside Church". The image depicts a church, behind a stone wall and partially hidden by trees, as viewed from the road. There is a white gate in the wall. The church tower is square and crenellated, possibly Norman. Two sheets of glass, 83 mm x 83 mm, one of which carries the image and the other is a cover glass, bound together with black paper tape. Behind the cover glass there is a black and white geometric/grid patterned paper mask over the image with square corners. Above the image, also behind the glass, is a white label upon which has been handwritten in black ink: "Wayside Church". There is a white circle at the top left corner. Handwritten in black ink on a white paper label affixed at the bottom edge is 'A E Boniface, Class III'.
