Original box (empty) for Barnet (Yellow Sensitive) Orthochromatic Plates by Elliott & Sons. Black covered lidded cardboard box with paper label on lid printed in black ink with "Barnet (Yellow Sensitive) Orthochromatic Plate" followed by developing instructions and the manufacturer's details: "Elliott & Sons Ltd, Barnet, Herts, England". On the base of the box is stamped: "E8711 E R Ortho. Ex. by 6 31. Pkd by 29. Backed".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
