Summary
Arundel & Marshall storage box (empty) for photographic plates size 3¼" x 4¼". Black covered cardboard box with card dividers inside to form storage for 12 plates. The base of the box has hinged ends on the short edge, to enable easy removal of plates. White paper label on the lid, printed in black ink with text including instructions to lift a plate out, and the manufcturer's details: "Arundel & Marshall, Penn St. Works, Hoxton, London". and "Patent applied form (No11,615), 1886".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
