Summary
Empty box originally containing lantern slides, by The Slide House Ltd. Square, lidded cardboard box with blue paper label printed in black ink as follows: "The Slide House Ltd. The largest manufacturers & distributors of Lantern Slides. 52, Queen Victoria St, London, EC4. Telephone: CITY 2505". Handwritten in black ink on the label: "8 to 16" and "Lay my head beneath a rose (song)". The base of the box is stamped in black ink with: "Exd 17" and "6529C".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
