Summary
Two boxes of Primus lantern masks; assorted shapes. Manufactured by W. Butcher & Son(s). Square lidded cardboard boxes with labels printed in black ink. One box states "Primus lantern masks, 9d per box, assorted shapes" and "Lantern Masks Assorted". This box contains various shaped black masks. The other box states "Primus lantern masks, 1/6 per box. Square, circule, cushion, dome or assorted shapes. Supplied in 37 different sizes." and "Lantern Masks No. 22". This box contains square black masks.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
