Summary
An empty cardboard box for Criterion Mezzotone Lantern Plates manufactured by Criterion Plates Papers Films Ltd, Stechford, Warwickshire. The box is covered in brown paper and the lid has a white paper label printed in black ink with information about the plates including the following: "The exposure required for Contact Printing from an average negative is about 8 seconds at 3 feet from a 16 C.P. Electric bulb. These Plates are also of suitable speed for reduction i nthe Camera", followed by developing and fixing information.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
