Summary
Box of 12 Kodak Kodalith Ortho photographic plates. Orthochromatic emulsion plates size 4¾" x 6½", for use in camera or by contact methods. Original yellow lidded cardboard box containing 3 packs of 4 plates wrapped in black paper. Box has Kodak logo and information printed on it. Stamped on the side: "UL28 S11". Inside the box is a 4pp instruction leaflet (102 x 169 mm) of white paper printed in black ink, describing the use of the Kodalith Ortho Plate.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
