Summary
Metal Eastman Kodak NC Non-Curling Film canister containing two Kodak Verichrome Pan 828 film rolls (35 mm). Metal canister with lid, originally orange coated but now very rusted and worn. Printed on the canister: Kodak Non Curling film. Non-halation. Orthochromatic. Manufactured only by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester, NY". Printed on the lid: "See bottom of tin for size of spool." Kodak NC film was introduced in 1903. The two film rolls are printed with "Verichrome Pan 828". This film was first made in 1956.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
