Box (empty) for Imperial Eclipse Orthochrome photographic plates. 2½" x 3½". Brown cardboard lidded box with white label on lid, printed in black ink with information about Eclipse Plates and Films and "Pyro-soda developer", followed by the manufacturer's details: "The Imperial Dry Plate Co. Ltd, Cricklewood, London, NW2". Stamped on the base of the box is "Ecl Ortho 6988 Matt" Handwritten in black ink on the base of the box: D. Barnes with Tort, Mrs Rhodes, Edith & Hilda (Best), Jim cleaning gun, Harry cleaning gun, Jim front. Goldfish, Mother, J.H & Ethel Whalley, J.H. Ed. & Hil. Flowers, Harry with Goldfish yard, Harry with steam eng, Allan with puppy."
