Summary
Box of Imperial Special Rapid Orthochrome photographic plates. 5" x 7 ". Unopened pack wrapped in dark grey paper with a label printed in colour with a drawing of a boy in a sailor suit taking a photograph of a woman and girl, on a beach. Around the edges is printed: "Special Rapid. Imperial Dry Plate Co. Ltd, Cricklewood, London NW". There is a circular red sticker with the retailer's details: "The City Sale & Exchange, 26 & 28 Kings Road, Sloane Square, London W." There is a printed label on the side which reads: "Imperial Orthochrome. Special Rapid" and is stamped in black ink: "Batch 1132, Speed 200". On the other side of the pack is a white label printed in black with information about Imperial development paper and printing paper. There is a circular green sticker with the retailer's details: "The City Sale & Exchange, 26 & 28 Kings Road, Sloane Square, London SW, Branches:- Fleet St, Lime St, and Aldersgate St, EC".
