Summary
Box (empty) for Imperial Orthochrome photographic plates. 4½ x 6½ inch size. Maroon cardboard lidded box with a white label printed in black ink with information about Developers for Imperial Plates, and the manufacturer's details: "The Imperial Dry Plate Co. Ltd, Cricklewood, London NW". Also stamped in black ink on the label is "Ortho. 298".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
