Summary
Box of Imperial Special Rapid photographic plates, with original paper wrapper. 4¼ x 3¼ inch size. Brown cardboard lidded box containing two packages of orthochromatic plates wrapped in brown paper. The lid of the box has a white label printed in black ink with information about Developers for Plates, and the manufactuer's details: "The Imperial Dry Plate Co. Ltd, Cricklewood, London NW2" Also stamped in black ink on the label is "Special Rapid. 18341B". The original paper wrapper for the pack is dark grey paper with a red label printed in black with the manufacturer's details and "Imperial Special Rapid Plates". Stamped in black ink is the Batch No. 18341B.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
