Summary
Sealed pack of Ilford Selochrome plates, quarter plate size. Wrapped in brown paper with cream paper label affixed. Label is printed in orange and black ink with the following: "Keep in a cool dry place and open only in a dark room. Ilford Selochrome Plates Made in England Ilford Limited, Ilford London Ilford Meter 30° Ilford Speed Group E Weston Meter 80." Stamped on the label in black is: "1 dozen 4¼ x 3¼ in. 7361C" There is also a cream label on one long side, printed in orange and black ink: "Ilford Selochrome Plates".
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
