Summary
Technirama GE9 Delrama Anamorphic Lens Attachment.
Full description
A Technirama GE9 Delrama Anamorphic Lens Attachment. It is of dark blue metal construction, housing 2 specially computed curved surface reflecting prisms mounted much like a periscope. The lens is protected by a detachable black metal lens cover, inscribed in white "Technirama GE9". Above the lens is inscribed in white "Technirama GE-9". Below it is black semi-circular plate with a raised boss, which is detachable and probably covers an input source. Next to this is a small metal lever, which is moveable to the right, but then comes back to the central position. On the base are 2 sets of lugs to attach it to a camera mounting. On the top is a metal carrying handle and 2 horizontal brackets for additional attachments. On the left hand side is a white plastic wheel inscribed with 4 sets of concentric black numbers ranging from 6-100,with an additional INF(inity) position. Turning the wheel moves the lens housing backwards and forwards. Attached to the wheel is a moveable metal pointer with the numbers, in white, 50,75,100,135. Additionally, attached to the wheel is a metal screw to prevent movement of the wheel. At the rear of the wheel is a 2 position metal handle and a metal capstan shaped device , with a 3 position metal lever in it. On top of it it has 3 numbers, 50, 75, 100/135, that correspond to 3 position notches. On the rear of the attachment is a silver coloured cogwheel, that also moves when the white wheel is rotated. Above this is a metal ribbed circular cover, that is attached to a larger metal plate(that is detachable by unscrewing). This is probably where the camera lens was fitted. Scratched on this, upper right, "Shim right". Above this plate is a piece of black leather, with black rubber end pieces, which extends when the lens housing is moved forward to cover the gap. On the right hand side is a black semi-circular plate, which is detachable and probaly covers an input source.
