Summary
A film carriage for a Pullin Optics film strip projector. The whole is mounted on a solid cast aluminium boss which has mounts top and bottom that fit onto the condenser block of the projector by means of 3 captive pins. The front of the boss is threaded to take the objective lens unit. Screwed to the back of the boss are 2 extensions made of cast aluminium which hold the 2 film spools, the extension is stamped with the Pullin Optics logo and serial no – 48082 and Brit Pat No - 588932. Film transit is achieved by means of a clawed metal spindle driven by 2 knurled knobs, the larger of the 2 has an internal control marked M&C which would’ve controlled direction of movement but has now ceased. The take up spool is also equipped with a dual diameter knurled spool. On one side of the carriage are 2 fixed pins onto which slide the film gates, there are 2, one for horizontal and one for vertical presentations. The carriage has a film strip in place.
