Summary
Lamphouse chimney for a Mallinson lantern projector. The chimney is brass, folded and pressed metal construction with a rectangular plate to fit over the orifice in the lamp house cover and a box section to locate the chimney into the opening. The chimney itself extends from this plate as a round ended rectangle with a domed top on to which are bolted two layers of folded “pie crust” brass fluting.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
