Summary
Lantern projector for projecting opaque objects (aphengescope/episcope/epidiascope). The unit is all metal with two lenses, one for projecting larger objects whilst the smaller one is for use with slides. Both lenses are mounted in brass. Illumination is provided by an electric bulb in a holder on the top of the unit and a cable connects to a light socket. The light is directed by a rotating mirror. The side of the unit has a sliding panel. The are no markings to identify the manufacturer. The unit is black with a decorative red line round the lid.
