Summary
Kodak No.2 Brownie Model B daylight enlarger. This box-form enlarger consists of a pyramid shaped box, a negative holder at one end, a paper holder at the other and a fixed focus lens in between with a simple shutter (3.5 x 2.5ins to 7.5ins). This box is in two main parts, both a tapered shape and both can be folded flat after the removal of the plates at the top and bottom and the joining plate with the lens in the middle. The base glass plate is covered by a wood and cardboard lid which is fixed in place by two simple metal hooks. The top cover is the same and underneath this is a ledge to sit a glass plate. There are two long metal clip that swivel round and would hold a negative or paper in place. The two body parts are joined together by a wooden plate, each part sitting into a goove and then clipped together by a sliding metal plate. Patent dates are stamped on the inside of the wood cover.
