Summary
Optimus photographic enlarging lantern. Mahogany box and base with black leather bellows located between the lens and the plate holder. Bellows can be extended by losening knobs at base of lens board and sliding along metal rods. Removable lens with rack and pinion focusing with slot for waterhouse stops. a large circular condenser mounted on board behind plate holder. Markings :- On lens board above lens brass plate with "Optimus" and above that a white platic label with "Made by Perken, son and Co Ltc, Hatton Garden, London"
