Summary
Removable dark slide for an Express folding daylight enlarger. Simple wooden frame construction. The wooden back board is fixed into the frame and there is a metal stud in the top rail of the frame which reads "British Made WB Sons Ltd" The frame has two discrete tangs at the top which fit into rebates on thre main enlarger body to secure the top of the slide and two small rebates on the bottom which fit over two small extensions in the bottom of the body. These almost invisible fixings result in a very secure mount between the dark slide and the enlarger body. The sliding panelhas two small pieces of wood at its base to prevent it being pulled all the way out and an ornate rail and handle going the full width of the frame to lift the sliding panel to expose the photographic paper.
