Summary
Griffin's photographic plate developing tank. Tank is rectangular with lid which clips on with metal clip on side of tank. In the centre of the lid is a circular hole and beneath this a small well from which two spouts feed to each side of the lid, allowing chemicals to be poured through the lid and down into the tank. There is a metal spout and tap at the bottom on one side. On each side near the top is a metal loop for a chain to be attached, but none is present. Embossed on both sides: "Griffin's "Tourist" Developing Tank. Patent No. 20092".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
