Summary
A pair of lenses for use as telescope. Both units are screw mounted in brass cylinders which each have iris apertures at the far end from the lens. One cylinder is engraved 'F.Davidson & Co 29 Gt. Portland St. London W1 Patent no 13251/12'. On the largest one is also the marking 'The Davon (Regd) Micro-Telescope'.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
