Summary
A Mattioli between lens shutter. French. Stamped on front: "1203. Obturateur. Système Mattioli. Breveté SGDG". The shutter is a patented "Mattioli System". It acts as shutter and diaphragm. The shutter is armed by bringing the cursor to the "Armé" (armed) position. At the moment of triggering, the knob returns more or less quickly to the right in the "Fermé" (closed) position. The speed is adjusted by turning the knob visible to the right of the lens. It has graduations from 1 to 9, from the slowest to the fastest. The diaphragm is adjusted by turning the round piece that protrudes below the shutter. The trigger is either by pressing the button marked "Push", or by setting a pneumatic release on the olive.
