Summary
An original wooden box for a Klito Magnifier set. This is a box created from two pieces of wood the base has been routed to take the magnifying lenses exactly. There is a small routed orifice which is empty and for which the purpose is unknown. The two wooden panels hinge by means of a strip of fabric glued to the box and closes with a hook and post latch. There is a paper label on the inside of the lid which reads "Klito" (registered) Magnifiers suitable for all quarter plate hand cameras of 5 in to 51/4 in focus. 3 Ft. 6 Ft. 9 Ft. Leviathan] [London. The title is underlined and the majority is surrounded by a stylised border.
