Summary
Imperial Duplex exposure meter - two actinometers, incorporated in slide rule calculators in a double folding booklet. One actinometer for bright light, the other for dull light. Booklet is leather bound with "Imperial exposure meter No.1 for bright light in gold printing" at top right on one side. On the other side is printed in gold "Imperial exposure meter No.2 for dull light" (top right). On both sides, across and above the bottom edge is printed "The Imperial Dry Plate Co. Ltd. Cricklewood, London, NW2." Booklet folds into 3 sections for storage in carton. Two sections of the booklet contain instructions (one for bright light, the other for dull light) printed in black onto yellowed card. In the middle sections of the booklet (back to back) are the exposure meters in yellowed card with black printed numbered scales and incorporating slide rules and small circular plastic windows showing an inner grey circle with a circular hole in the middle where the sensitive paper becomes exposed to the light. The card instructions and exposure meters have been stuck/glued onto the booklet sections.
