Summary
A Weston model 627 type 2 Leicameter exposure meter. The meter is in the form of a jeweller's loupe with a black plastic and chrome body and black metal cover, and has a black elasticated neck strap. It operates by photoelectric cells, to which light is admitted through a glass covered perforated screen on the rear of the body. The meter dial on the front of the body shows shutter speeds for an aperture of f6.3, and on the side of the body is a conversion table for other apertures. Markings; on the dial, "Leicameter model 627, no. 3871, Weston Elec. Inst. Corp. Newark NJ, U.S.A.", and patents information. On the side, a metal plate with conversion table for different apertures.
