Summary
A Johnsons Magnesium Flash Gun. This is a gun shaped flash lamp It has a small metal tray for the flash powder and a friction wheel across which a spring loaded rod passed when the trigger releases the rachet to produce the spark to ignite the magnesium. The front. panel (when closed) has embossed three concentric half circles and on the side of the gun above the trigger is embossed Johnsons Flash Lamp and above the hand grip Pat No 116501 Protected 26483
