Summary
A Hurter and Driffield Actinograph exposure calculator mounted in a wooden box. Plate speeds set on one scale: 0.5 - 300 H&D. Shutter speed: 0.05s - 60s. Aperture: f2.8 - f64. Light conditions can be selcted from: Very Dull, Dull, Mean, Bright, Very Bright. A revolving drum has printed light intensities for times of day and month. On the underside of the lid is a printed table of adjustment factors for photographs types. There is on the base a label ' Hurter &Driffields Actinograph Patent No 5545 1888. The enclosing box is polished wood with brass hinges and clasp.
