Summary
A Bell & Howell Exposure Meter. The unit is cyclindrical, mainly black metal with three chrome dials at the lower end labelled A,B and C. A is marked 'For Use with Film0 Cameras' and has marks 7.0 7.5, (purpose unclear). Dial B is labelled 'Lens stops' ad f1-f32'. Disc C has 'Exposures per second' and 4-64. The unit operates by adjusting the internal bulb brightness to match that of the subject through the eyepiece. The base of the unit is marked 'Bell & Howell, Chicago Made in USA Pat 2-12-24. There is also a serial number A1258.
