Summary
A Weston 650 Universal Exposure Meter. The body is black moulded plastic and to the right there is a logo in Art Deco style saying 'Weston'. Above this is the meter dial marked 'Light' and a scale reading 0-1000. The screen is labelled 'Weston Photronic Exposure Meter Model 650 No 7328265 (?). Patent numbers are also given 579.849, 779.574 Amer Pat 1934, No 1,982,405 Other Pats Pending. To the left of the dial is a rotating calculator to translate readings into exposure. It is marked 'Weston Cine Exposure Meter' and the user inputs film speed, f number and meter reading to obtain shutter speed. On the reverse side is the photo cell panel and a metal plate with the emulsion speeds for 14 film types for both daylight and tungsten. Below this is ' Mfd by Weston Elec. Ins. Corp. Newark N.J., U.S.A.'
